First , and most significantly, our business systems are recognized as the most efficient, user friendly systems in the industry. MCS is a Microsoft partner and our application design models the Microsoft user interface. We have painstakingly designed each user interface to complete tasks in a simple, efficient, straight-forward manner.
Also, because we are a Microsoft partner, our application is tightly integrated to the Windows desktop. This means our applications are ‘built-in' to the Microsoft operating system and to Microsoft Office. The result is direct access to e-mail, fax, and contact managers; clean exports of data to Excel, Word, Power Point, etc; and simple event scheduling that routes reports and other jobs automatically on a pre-determined schedule.
Second , MCS SQL is based on Microsoft Smart Client technology. This means that each user has a full client integrated to their workstation and they access data directly from their local network or from a remote network. We are different from the ASP model (Software Rental) in that we do not run a ‘browser-based' application. We feel that a ‘browser based' application is not appropriate for a mission critical ERP application. This is also Microsoft's position.
Additionally, our system speed and response times are not bound to the state of your internet connection at any given time of the day. Our applications are running on your servers with direct, local client access. Remote users are connected through a simple VPN. MCS is very fast.
Third , you buy and own MCS licenses and then pay modest quarterly fees for customer service and MCS upgrades. All support paying customers receive MCS upgrades for free. MCS offers a number of flex-pay options to own licenses, including full 36 month lease options. Since the application is running in your local environment there are no fees from MCS for order fax, EDI, etc. In our opinion the ASP model was built around the concept of gouging customers with never ending fees of all kinds. A fee for fax documents, a fee for EDI documents, a fee for this, a fee for that. MCS does none of that. You will save significant money with MCS. |

Absolutely! The ASP salesperson is not telling the truth. MCS SQL runs in many remote office installations. The MCS SQL client can be installed on any workstation in an organization whether local to the server or remote in another city, state, or country. Remote users connect through a Virtual Private Network or VPN over the internet that guarantees the data passing from the client to the server is secure. VPN configurations are standard with Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 so there is no additional cost to implement a VPN. This is the basis of Microsoft Smart client technology; the full MCS SQL client uses the power of the local workstation to make remote processing a faster and richer experience than browser based processing. |

It is significantly more expensive to rent than to own. Plus, if startup costs are a concern MCS offers 36 month lease to own opportunities. As a matter of fact, our flex-licensing program can accommodate any customer's payment requirements. Take a look at a sample cost analysis of MCS versus one of our ASP competitors. |

Transitioning to a new ERP system is a significant task. MCS understands that the process of moving a new customer to MCS SQL must be handled with absolute commitment to success. Almost all new customers that move to MCS SQL are utilizing a competitor ERP system, so, we have a great deal of experience in this area. As a matter of fact, we consider transitioning a new customer from a competitor system one of the most important things we do as a company.
As a result, MCS has developed a transition process that guarantees a successful conversion. We spend a great deal of time building a detailed Action Plan with our customer that defines achievement milestones on the path to a successful system conversion. We have many customers who would be happy to share their success stories. |
