Database Management Systems
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 – Enterprise
Edition
This version is recommended for large organizations
that anticipate significant business or transactional
growth. Enterprise Edition servers are scalable up to
32 CPU’s and 64 GB of RAM. SQL Server 2000 Enterprise
Edition also includes advance analysis services (OLAP).
Microsoft SQL Server 2000
– Standard Edition
This version is recommended for small and medium sized
organizations that do not require advanced scalability
and availability features or several of the more advance
analysis features of SQL Server Enterprise Edition.
Standard Edition servers are scalable up to 4 CPU’s
and 2GB of RAM.
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 – Personal
Edition
This is a limited version of Microsoft SQL Server and
is only recommended for up to 2 users. This version
will run on any of the server operating systems listed
above as well as on Windows 2000 Professional, Windows
XP Professional, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 SP5 or later.
